There’s nothing minimalistic about a fading effect. It now takes a second to fade, and when I’m quickly clicking around on a mission it slows me down, and it’s a huge distraction. I think a lot of people are going to start using yahoo and bing to search now.

Thanks for the tip on how to remove that freakin fade and no buttons, I don’t see why anyone would want those “features”. I used CCleaner to clean my cookies after Google put the annoyances in effect, but the problem didn’t go away until I followed your tip and manually cleared my cookies. Strange…

Thank you for including my tip. In regards to banking sites, or rather one of my banks I use, the bank places a cookie not for passwords, but to identify that the machine you are using to log in(as one it recognizes for access to that account). The particular bank I’m referring to uses a “site key” which, in this case, is an image you chose to associate with that account. If you use a different computer or you’ve flushed that cookie, the site will ask a security question after you use your user name. When answered correctly, you will get another cookie of course and will see your site key. This is an extra layer of security to reduce your being tricked because a phishing site.

Anyway, for any who still use IE and find this page, I ended up deleting all the cookies in order to get rid of the fade-in links in Google. It appears that this fade-in menu is Google’s doing rather than FF.

To the user “F” – MAN! You just PROVED 100% that you’re the world’s biggest idiot! ) I can’t BELIEVE you sat there & typed up a argument that the UFO was real & the guy in the Spiderman costume was fake! oh, & “SPECTICAL”???
