Hi. Welcome to Sim’s Blog. I am born in Laos. Within the first 4-5 years of my life I was raised between Laos and Thailand. I am currently living in California and have been here ever since. I’ve traveled to many places and find California to be an expensive place to live. It’s overcrowded, has many rules and rent is outrageously expensive.
I like to talk about architecture or the arts since they are the ones that affects many people’s lives. Art connects us to our feelings and is the most important tool for creating culture.
Recently, I’ve entered a new age wave (mostly found on the Internet) called the spiritual awakening wave. Where people have begin to realized who and what they actually are. Don’t you want to know that you are more than your body. That you have many lives. And you exist forever…unless you have become wise enough then you can simply delete yourself (or actually delete your spirit into a pool of spirit ocean.) You can either be awaken or can’t be awaken. The moment you are awaken is when you say, “yes, that is right, I’ve known that before. I believe it is the 110% truth,” even though mainstream science says otherwise. I’m not much of a c0nspiracy theorist but mainstream science is full of bull@$%#! I will write more about this here when I get a chance.

This image from ucsf.edu is a good example of the place where I sometimes live work and play. This area promotes art, new science, intellect and individuality. Discrimination is low and, yes, we do drive beat up cars, unlike the folks down in LA. And no, we don’t pollute or cause our cars to breakdown and clog traffic. We maintain our car to their maximum efficiency (which is impossible since the mileage is rigged at the factory to yield a certain mp such as 30MPG) and we always consider the environmental impact first before considering the types of vehicles we may want to drive. Northern California isn’t a place where image is everything, compared to LA. The numbers of SUVs are low compared to LA. What’s left of LA in N. Cal is Sanjose. San Jose appears to be place where most are interested in material wealth, not spiritual wealth. It wasn’t like that before.
Now that you’ve heard about me, most importantly, I’d like to hear about you. You can email me at simoung @ gmail.com, no spaces please, or post a comment if you can find a post box.
Hi, there. LRM is created a blog section for our website, we would like to know if you would like to be included. Please let us know, thanks you.

Hi, there! I was just browsing through some Lao sites, when coming across your blog. I’m a Khmer student here in the US, and also a part-time blogger. California is probably not the nicest place in America, but the Bay Area is certainly the nicest of all metropolis here. Anyway, nice blog!
Hi Sophat,
